The little ninja stayed close to Janna. He had a hand on one of his wooden blades. Like hell it was going to do anything. “Don’t worry, sis. I’ll make sure nothing happens to us.”
Janna tried her best to avoid the specificity of where they were going. “We are going to visit a dear friend of mine… who should be better at.. well never mind.” She didn’t want to let them know she wasn’t too good at taking care of little children. She was used to babysitting constantly on the fields, but those are adults.
“Please, just trust me okay?” Janna’s tone was a bit more short this time around since she was getting tired of repeating herself now.
They now approached the outer limits of the city. Janna had been here a few times so she knew where the entrance points were. The came to one that had a few guards in front. Janna put the children down and went to go have a word with them whilst the young ones weren’t in ear shot. “Stay here,” she said sternly before walking off.
She came back, and picked them both up again, with a frown on her face. She seemed changed. The air around her was cold. Janna had put on a facade to get into the gates of Noxus.
They were now in the city. It was seemed almost like night time in the middle of the day. There weren’t too many people around, but the few that were were looking at them. Janna would glare at them to avert their eyes occasionally.
“We’re almost there.”
She nodded her head, listening to Janna - she noticed how annoyed she was getting, and would pat her temple with one of her tails. “It’s okay, Ms. Janna.”
As they were placed down, she glanced to her big brother. “Big brother? The people in this city, if they’re similar to the guards, don’t seem very nice.” Her fox ears, despite being unable to hear the voices of people, perked as she tried to pick up on what was going on between them and Janna - being out of hearing range.
She picked up on nothing, and stomped her foot in what was clear frustration. “I can’t hear them!”
She gave a sigh, folding her arms. “I hope whatever friend she’s taking us to are nice, or at least not mean, or give off the air these people seem to - maybe she’s taking us to meet a friendly old man, o.. or maybe a special someone she has.” The fox-child rubbed her chin, though at that moment Janna had returned to the two of them - and it was hard for her to not ignore the drastic change Janna had gone through. It clearly confused her, as her ears flattened against her head and she thrusted out her bottom lip in a pout.
She had no time to make a comment on it, however, as Janna had been quick to lift them and hurry into the city. She buried her face in her hands once more as they walked along, and she was sniffling - as if she was trying to avoid weeping.
The little thing was clearly afraid of this place, as her tails curl all around herself, trying to hide herself from the people of Noxus.
